A recipe from Great Nana

When I was growing up we would always go to Amarillo, Texas, to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Great Nana, and she would make this pie. It’s delicious! I now make it every Thanksgiving for my family.

Pumpkin Pecan Pie

  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Combine all ingredients except pecans, Pour into pie shell. Top with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife cuts clean. ENJOY!
